It's a website that lists new business ideas. I found it really helpful to look at other new ideas for business's in my area.

Interesting Websites
Hi guys
I have been looking at a few different websites and taking some notes of features that i thought were good.....
http://www.childcare.com.au/
ABC Childcare - Has a chat room for parents to talk to each other - great for the owners to monitor feedback etc and allow parents an opportunity to get to know each other. They also have a 'Find Local' tool to find your local childcare centre and an announcements page.
http://www.splashdayspa.com.au/
Has a 360 degree tour of the spa - great so that potential customers can see the quality of the spa. Also has the usual full spa list - and they are on facebook.
http://www.atmospheredjs.com.au/
this website has a video pop up on the side of a woman talking about the company and what they offer and who they have contracts with. Something different and looks great. They also have twitter and facebook accounts.
http://www.acedeejays.com.au/
this website provides tips for customers on what they should ensure that their DJ is covering - set up etc. I think that this is great as it gives potential customers an idea of what they should be looking for.
In relation to getting websites up and running - i found http://www.argonyxstudios.com/ The website is great - but even better, they offer a free DVD about the 7 secrets on how to get your website to make running. I have downloaded this DVD and will bring it to class - happy to either make one for you (if you bring me in a blank disk) or just to share the copy that i have made. It goes for about 25 minutes and covers defining your target market, how to design what appeals to then, how to use your website as an effective sales tool and how to integrate your website into your marketing plan (to name a couple).
Enjoy!

Welcome
Hi everyone
Welcome to our new blog!
To meet the rquirements of our course we ALL need to ENGAGE regularly on this site.
I'd like everyone to visit at least once a week and either post or add content to the site - this is assessable. Most of all though, it should be fun - so enjoy.
